Ep. 82: Terror Birds!!!
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
This week we look into one of the most terrifying animals to have ever lived... the terror birds. Terror birds were giant flightless birds that lived for 60 million years in South America. The largest species was the kelenken, which stood around 10 feet tall and around 400lbs. The most famous terror bird species is named Titanus, this one stands out for being the only one found in North America. Terror birds were apex predators with no competition on South America. Until the Great American Interchange brought other predators to compete with the terror birds.

Ep. 78: Weasel on Steroids: The Fearless Wolverine
Tuesday Apr 07, 2020
Tuesday Apr 07, 2020
This week we look into one of the most ferocious, gluttonous, fearless and bad-ass animals on the planet, the wolverine. Wolverines are the largest species of the weasel family and have many nicknames including; skunk bear, glutton bear, hyenas of the north, weasel on steroids and many others. These super cool animals inhabit the upper northern hemisphere in the colder regions. They are adapted to their environment, with fur that wont freeze and a specialized molar tooth that allows them to tear apart frozen animals. We also learn that actor Hugh Jackman didn't even know wolverines existed before he got the role that made him famous. All this and much more. Enjoy.

Ep. 75: Jim Corbett Returns: Hunt for the Muktesar Man-Eating Tigress
Friday Feb 28, 2020
Friday Feb 28, 2020
This week we tell the story of Jim Corbett and his 72 hour hunt for the Muktesar tigress that has killed at least 24 people. This is a story from earlier in Jim's hunting career. He has an exciting hunt, spending one night in a tree in pitch black darkness with the tiger 15 feet away. We learn about how other sportsmen previously failed hunting this tiger and how Jim eventually succeeds. The ending is especially crazy, with his most insane tiger kill to date. And once again we learn that porcupines may actually be behind the reason this tiger has turned to man eating.

Ep. 73: Royal Bengal Tigers
Thursday Feb 13, 2020
Thursday Feb 13, 2020
This wee we look at the amazing Bengal tigers. Bengal tigers are the most notable tiger species and one of the most iconic animals on the planet. They are native to India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan and make up over half of all tigers in the world. At the beginning of the 1900's there were supposedly over 100,000 in the wild, nowadays only around 2,500 live in the wild. There may be more in zoos than in the wild. The reasons are all because of humans... poaching and habitat loss make up for most of it. Tigers are awesome animals that deserve our protection. But sometimes tigers can be scary monsters... tigers have killed more people than any other predatory mammal. There are around 100 tiger attacks a year in some areas. We also go through a list of well known man eating tigers.
Indian tiger movie. This movie is so bad it's hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7okNuj1CD4A
