Ep. 88: Night of the Grizzlies Part 1
Monday Sep 14, 2020
Monday Sep 14, 2020
This week, we have one of the best true crime stories involving animals... This is Night of the Grizzlies. We go back in time to 1967, to Glacier National Park. Back then rules for bears were pretty lax, to say the least. Tourists would come from all over to watch grizzlies battle for the best garbage. From when the park was founded in 1910 there had never been a fatal grizzly attack. But on one fateful night it all changes... There are two different grizzly bear attacks just hours apart and a few miles away, both from different bears, and both lead to the death of two 19 year old women. Its a crazy story. We also learn a bit about Glacier National Park and 1967. This is only part one... There may be a cliffhanger.

Ep. 87: Shark Attack Stories #2
Saturday Aug 22, 2020
Saturday Aug 22, 2020
This week we go to the ocean and cover attack stories from one of mans most fearful predators... sharks. These are stories that have all happened in the last few months and most actually take place Down Under, in Australia. For some reason there has been a surge of shark attacks there as well as 4 recent deaths, we cover them all. We also are joined by a special guest Dayna Bodtcher, she is an avid shark lover and related to both hosts. Dayna and Dave both provide their own stories. And we end on the very first shark fatality in the state of Maine.

Saturday Jul 18, 2020
This week we celebrate our 2nd anniversary episode. After two whole years doing the show we really love doing it and a big thank you to all the listeners who support us. We have some new stupid idiots of Yellowstone stories that involve sneaking into the closed park and falling into a thermal pool and people who get too close to wild, dangerous bison. Then we go over which insects have the most painful stings. Spoiler... it's the bullet ant. There are four levels of pain with four being the worst. Then we talk about a plant that if you get stung by it you may commit suicide because the pain is just too much. Then we end the episode with a few listener stories.

Ep. 83: Invasive Species Part 1
Thursday Jun 18, 2020
Thursday Jun 18, 2020
This week we take a look at some species that do not belong. An invasive species is an organism that is not native to a particular area. They can cause great environmental and economic harm to the new area. To be invasive, a species must adapt to the new area easily. It must reproduce quickly. It must harm property, the economy or native plants and animals of the region. Many invasive species are introduced to a new region accidentally, while others are brought on purpose.

2nd Story- Pablo Escobar's Cocaine Hippos

Ep. 82: Terror Birds!!!
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
This week we look into one of the most terrifying animals to have ever lived... the terror birds. Terror birds were giant flightless birds that lived for 60 million years in South America. The largest species was the kelenken, which stood around 10 feet tall and around 400lbs. The most famous terror bird species is named Titanus, this one stands out for being the only one found in North America. Terror birds were apex predators with no competition on South America. Until the Great American Interchange brought other predators to compete with the terror birds.
